  • Learn more about the CaPThai project! 🫁
In 2022, World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that 1 out of 3 Thai patients suffering from tuberculosis were not detected or notified. This is largely due to limited access to diagnosis, treatment and prevention, and the stigmatization of TB patients.
In response to these issues, the CaPThai project aims to improve TB Case-Finding, Treatment and Prevention of TB in Thailand.
Implemented in 20 provincial hospitals across the country, CaPThai’s specific features are:
– Its innovative approach combining active detection and treatment of TB and short-course TB preventive treatment.
Its inclusive approach as it includes adults and children, whether they are national citizens, migrants or refugees, and living with or without HIV
